Homemade Citrus Shine recipe - copycat hair serum
For lustrous, healthy shine try this homemade Citrus Shine recipe. Treat coarse, dry or chemically treated hair with this high gloss, polishing serum specially formulated with shine enhancing citrus extracts that effectively protect hair from heat styling damage and environmental stress. Tames frizz and treats split ends for a smooth, soft, shiny finish Homemade Citrus Shine 1.5 oz liquid shea butter 1 oz avocado oil 1 oz hazelnut oil 0.5 oz coconut oil 10 drops red grapefruit seed essential oil 10 drops blood orange essential oil 5 drops lime essential oil 2 drops bergamot essential oil 2 drops lemon essential oil 1 drop ylang ylang essential oil Pour the oils and essential oils into container. Let stand for 1 week, shaking daily. Keep in a cool, dark place. Apply a small amount of citrus shine to palm of hands and work through hair. To tame split ends, to fingertips and work through hair, concentrating in the ends. Note: Warm/Hot opens the hair follicles so that conditioner can penetrate deeper. And cold water closes the hair follicles. So after you shower your hair, after you rinse every thing out, rinse again with a blast of very cold water. The coldest you can possibly stand.
