Easy Homemade Herbal Deodorant Recipe
This pleasant herbal deodorant will control odor and inhibit the growth of some microorganisms that thrive on perspiration. Choose from rosemary, thyme, lavender, sage, spearmint, eucalyptus leaves, marjoram, or scented rose petals. Herbal Deodorant 1/3 cup cider vinegar 1/3 cup distilled or boiled water 3 tablespoons dried herbs or flower petals of choice (see above) 1/3 cup rosewater You will need a non-reactive saucepan, heatproof ceramic or glass bowl, and a sterilized 10 ounce bottle with a tight fitting stopper. In the saucepan, heat the cider vinegar and water to just below boiling. Place the herbs or flower petals in the bowl, and pour the heated liquid over them. Cover and allow to steep for 15 to 20 minutes. Strain the liquid into the bottle, then add the rosewater. Shake to combine. Store in a cool, dark place. Use within a few days and make more as needed. When making more, vary the herbs to prevent bacteria from developing a resistance to the deodorant.
